Technical sales engineers for a U.S. operation of Italian company. The territory covers the Southeastern United States.  Position requires travel about 2 weeks per month. Candidate must have passport and be willing to travel Internationally for training. Candidate must combine technical knowledge with sales skills to provide advice and support on a range of products. Technical sales engineers are a key point of contact for clients and provide both pre- and after-sales advice. They liaise regularly with other members of the sales team and colleagues from a range of departments, such as research, development, design, purchasing, production and quality, as well as senior company managers. Responsibilities include:

1.  Monitors networks for suspicious and hostile activity, reviews logs from various security tools and network traffic analyzers, and compiles information/prepares computer security forensic and incident reports based on discovery.

2.  Assists in the evaluation, development, and implementation of computer and network security tools, hardware and software systems.

Position Requirements

1.  Bachelor degree in related field with 10-15 years technical experience.

2.  Advanced network design skills using CISCO routers, IPSEC VPNs, DMZs, and Hosting Networks desired.

3.  Demonstrated exceptional knowledge and understanding of PC, network, and telephone hardware and software systems. Cisco, GSEC, GIAC, or Microsoft MCSE certifications preferred. Advanced understanding of current threats and trends present in the Information Security and Technology field.

4.  Advanced knowledge of network technologies and protocols and an understanding of network hardware devices and experience configuring Access Control Lists or other firewall or router configuration experience.

5.  Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

6.  Ability to plan, prioritize and manage multiple tasks using project management methodologies.

7.  Excellent interpersonal skills.

8.  Detail oriented; self-starter; independent worker; problem-solver.

• Maintains and updates diagrams and documentation of infrastructure components which are being installed and upgraded. Evaluates and measures system performance and effectiveness; utilizes network management software and tools to make recommendations on systems and network infrastructure enhancements.

Position Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Computer Information Technology (or equivalent), or actively working towards such a degree.
• 3– 5 years hands on related experience in IT management, troubleshooting, IT support and LAN administration, planning, designing, setting up and managing networks.
• Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE); Novell Certified Netware Engineer (CNE); Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or equivalent, AS/400 experience desired.
• Comprehensive background in installation and maintaining the following: Windows Active Directory, Windows Server 2003 and 2008, Windows XP, Windows Vista and Windows 7. Note: Novell and Linux experience is a plus.
• Knowledge of enterprise security and virus protection methodologies.
• Comprehensive background troubleshooting Intel Pentium based personal computer hardware architecture and printers.
